About
Situated in the centre of beautiful Poowong in the South Gippsland region of Victoria, The Poowong Hotel is run by your hosts, Fiona and Ben, who welcome all with comforting food, good drink and hearty conversation.
Drop in for one of our events, for a hearty meal or just to stop and grab a refreshment as you're passing through - you'll be sure to feel welcome. We have plenty of parking and are located right in the middle of town, making us very easy to find.
We pride ourselves on our service, and hope once you've visited you'll return again and again. Finalists in the AHA State Awards for Excellence, 2021, 2022 and 2023.
The Poowong Hotel features the following key amenities, available for all visitors:
- Indoor Dining Room area and Outdoor Dining tables.
- Fully stocked Bottleshop.
- Public Bar area, and accompanied by beer garden.
- A variety of beers on tap, including Guinness and Furphy.
- Dogs are welcome outside and on lead.
We also stock a range of Poowong Hotel merchandise, including T-shirts, Hoodies, Beanies, Stubby Holders and Stickers!
Dining
The Poowong Hotel features a fixed, standard menu along with a set of specials that change each week. We also have a range of desserts and drinks available, as well as take away meals as requested.
We directly cater for vegetarians, vegans, gluten free, lactose free and will endeavour to accommodate all dietary requirements where possible. We offer senior meals on our menu Wednesday through Friday, and also offer discounted Tradie Lunches for dining in during the week.
Weekly specials are announced every wednesday, and are posted on Facebook.
